Buttermilk Doughnuts

1. Beat together the egg, sugars, and buttermilk. Mix in the flour and baking powder to make a soft dough.

2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out doughnut shapes.

3. Fry at 180°C (356°F), a couple at a time, 3 minutes, or until slightly golden brown. Also fry doughnut holes.

Suggestions: While still warm sprinkle with granulated or confectioners’ sugar.
