1- Put the finely chopped chocolate into a bowl along with the butter and 1 tablespoon of water. Cover with cling wrap. Melt for 1 minute using the microwave function at 450W. Mix well.
2- Whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes frothy. Blend in the cornflour and baking powder. Add the melted chocolate. Mix gently.
3- Pour into the buttered cake dish.
4- Using the microwave function, cook for 4 minutes at 900 W or 4 minutes at 850 W depending on your oven.
5- Leave to cool.
This delicious pudding can be eaten on its own, or for a change, try serving it with stewed cherries or orange marmalade.
